Based in Santa Barbara, California. We are a small team of cycling enthusiast who share a simple goal: to build mountain bike wheels that could keep up with our passion for pushing limits. Founded by riders, engineers, and adventurers, our journey began on rugged trails and steep mountain sides, where we felt firsthand the difference that high-performance equipment can make. We set out to create something better — wheels that didn’t just keep up with the ride, but elevated it.

We have been building custom wheels for our local cyclists for almost a decade. And over the years, we've established a following of cyclists who share our passion for high quality and high performing products.

Each product we make is inspired by the same landscapes and challenges that got us hooked on mountain biking in the first place. 2010-2015

NOMADIK began as a passion project among three friends who shared a deep love for mountain biking. As mountain bikers we spent countless weekends tinkering with our bikes and eventually, we started building our own wheels. Our first "customers" were friends from the local mountain biking community.

2016

One of the founders met a local Santa Barbara wheel building legend — John Jones (Jones Precision Wheels), who started mentoring us and showed us how to do it right. John put so much care and attention into his custom wheels, and he taught us a lot about the technical side of wheel building.

2017-2019

We continued building wheels for friends and other local cyclist in Santa Barbara. Even though it was just a fun hobby at the time, the orders never stopped coming. Encouraged by the feedback, we decided to scale our hobby into a small business.

2020

Developed a series of prototype carbon wheels and expanded our product lineup to include wheels for every type of mountain biking, from cross-country to enduro and downhill. We beat the crap out of them and gave them everything we got. Our wheels rode as good as any other carbon wheels on the market and we knew we had something special.

2022-Present

We started NOMADIK with the vision — wheels built by riders, for riders. Our goal as a company is to provide high quality carbon fiber wheels catered for each rider. And as we grow, we want to stay true to our grassroot ethos. Whether you're conquering rugged terrains or chasing podium finishes, we want to ensure every rider has a reliable set of wheels that's tailored for their next adventure.
